ORDER

By consent of the learned counsel appearing on either side, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The petitioners would state that their forefathers and after their demise they are in possession and enjoyment of the Zallikuzhi poramboke lands comprised in Survey No.15 of Chinnavarikkam village situated at then Vaniyambadi Taluk, now Ambur Taluk, Vellore District. The petitioners would further state that their father while he was alive was cultivating sugarcane and other dry crops and after their demise the petitioners, being their sons, are in possession and enjoyment of 39 cents of land in the above said survey number. The Tahsildar, Chinnavarikkam village has also given 2-C patta in their names for 20 coconut trees. It is the claim of the petitioners that by doing hard work they developed the land as a cultivable land and prayed for patta in respect of the lands in their possession by submitting a representation dated 16.3.2015 to the 1st respondent. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Though it was acknowledged on 16.3.2015, the petitioners have not been favoured with any kind of response and hence they came forward with the present writ petition before this Court.

3. Heard the submission of Mrs.P.Rajalakshmi, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice for respondents

In the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court, taking into consideration of the limited scope of the prayer, without going into the merits of the case, directs the 1st respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 16.3.2015 and pass orders in accordance with law after putting on notice the persons concerned within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order and the the 1st respondent shall also communicate the decision taken to the petitioner.

The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. However, there is no order as to costs.
