The petitioner is a Resident Welfare Association. This writ petition is filed seeking for mandamus directing the respondents to re-fix the Basic Street Rate https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

(BSR) for Lakshmi Nagar - Porur, amalgamated area under Greater Chennai Corporation on proportionate rate on the basis of Basic Street Rate (BSR) fixed for core Corporation areas based on their value of property.

2. The learned standing counsel appearing for the respondent/Corporation submitted that already the petitioner-Association made a representation dated Nil before the second respondent, followed by another representation dated 11.02.2019. Therefore, he submitted that the said representations will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed on merits and in accordance with law.

3. Considering the above stated facts and circumstances, without expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Writ Petition is disposed of, only by directing the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 11.02.2019 and pass orders on the same, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

No costs.

Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
