Respondent Prayer: The Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. to direct the respondent police viz., the Inspector of Police (L & O), H-1, Washermenpet Police Station, Chennai - 600 081, to issue a "Non-Traceable Certificate" of her husband Ganesan in pursuance of representation dated 12.04.2024.

ORDER

The present Criminal Original Petition has been filed for a direction to the respondent police to issue "Non-Traceable Certificate" based on the representation dated 12.04.2024.

2. The case of the petitioner is that her husband namely, Ganesan gone missing on 15.09.2008 and in this regard, she has given a complaint. Till date, the respondent police has not traced him. Meanwhile, she has also filed a suit in O.S.No.7545 of 2022 for declaration declaring the said Ganesan attained civil death since she has not been heard about him for the past seven years. Therefore, she has requested the police to issue "NonTraceable Certificate" and the said request is pending.

3. After considering the facts and on hearing the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), this Court directs the respondent to complete the investigation on the complaint given by the petitioner herein on 15.09.2008 and trace the husband of the petitioner, failing which, issue "Non-Traceable Certificate" within a period of two months from the date of -2-

receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
