Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a writ of mandamus, directing the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representations dated 24.03.2022 and 05.04.2022 for issuance of an allotment to run a Bunk Shop at Halls Road Scheme Area, Kilpauk Garden Road, Chennai - 600 010 in vacant area.

ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by R.SURESH KUMAR, J.) The prayer sought in the present writ petition is to direct the first respondent, by way of a mandamus, to consider the petitioner's representations dated 24.03.2022 and 05.04.2022 for issuance of an allotment to run a bunk shop at Halls Road Scheme Area, Kilpauk Garden Road, Chennai - 600 010.
2. The petitioner has made representations on 24.03.2022 and 05.04.2022 seeking an allotment of place for having a bunk shop and such applications have been made to the first respondent, that is the Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board [now, the Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board]. The petitioner seeks indulgence of this Court, by filing the present writ petition, to issue a writ of mandamus.
3. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that the representations given by the petitioner would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed on merits and in accordance with law within the time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.
4. Having regard to the said submissions made by the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents, this Court is inclined to issue directions to the first respondent to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 24.03.2022 and 05.04.2022 and pass orders thereon, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With these directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, W.M.P.No.10241 of 2022 is closed.
