ORDER
This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition has been filed seeking modification of the condition imposed upon the petitioner that "the petitioner shall report before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Arakkonam every day at 10.30 a.m, for a period of four weeks and thereafter as and when required for interrogation" in Crl.OP.No.2472 of 2026 dated 04.02.2026.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is unable to comply with the condition imposed by this Court, as it would adversely affect his livelihood. He further submitted that Arakkonam is about 70 kilometers away from the petitioner's residence, making compliance difficult. Hence, he prayed for modification of the said condition.
3. There is no serious objections by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side).
4. In view of the above submissions, this Court modifies the condition imposed on the petitioner in para No.7(b) in Crl.OP.No.2472 of 2026 dated 04.02.2026 to the effect that "the petitioner shall report before the learned Additional Mahila Court, Vellore, everyday at 10.30 a.m, for a period of four weeks and thereafter as and when required for interrogation". All other conditions shall remain unaltered.
5. Accordingly, this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is ordered. 24-03-2026 DRL
