Respondents [R2, impleaded vide order of this Court dated 24.06.2015 made in M.P.No.1 of 2015 in W.P.No.17406 of 2015] Prayer: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a writ of mandamus, directing the respondent to measure the House Site of the petitioner situated in S.Nos.555 and 556 Udayarpalayam Village, Ambattur Taluk Tiruvallur District to the extent of 0.08 cents on the basis of the application made by the petitioner on 08.06.2015. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
2. The petitioner would state that originally he owned a house site admeasuring to an extent of 0.08 cents in Survey Nos.555 & 556, Udayarpalayam Village, Ambattur Taluk, Thirvallur District and out of the said extent, he sold 0.03 cents in favour of one Pankjam Ammal and she in turn sold the property in favour of one Jayaraman. The said Jayaraman, after purchase started meddling with the property of the petitioner and therefore, the petitioner has approached the jurisdictional District Collector as well as the 1st respondent to measure the house site admeasuring to an extent of 0.08 cents vide application dated 08.06.2015 and since, he has not been favoured with any response, came forward to file this writ petition.
3. Heard the submissions of Mr.C.Prakasam, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.P.Rajalakshmi, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice on behalf of the 1st respondent.

4. This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer and without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner in this writ petition, directs the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation/application dated 08.06.2015, in accordance with law, after putting on notice the 2nd respondent and pass orders as expeditiously as possible and not later than eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner as well as to the 2nd respondent.
