Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate, Ootacamund, The Nilgiris to expedite the trial in S.T.C.No.1987/2012 and complete the same within a stipulated time as may be fixed by this Court.

O R D E R

The petitioner has come forward with the present petition seeking for a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Ootacamund, The Nilgiris to expedite the trial in S.T.C.No.1987/2012 and complete the same within a stipulated time as may be fixed by this Court.

2. An explanation has been received from the learned Judicial Magistrate, Ootacamund which states that though the accused had given a notice to the complainant to produce a document on 11.07.2014, the said document was produced by the complainant only on 19.06.2015 and thereafter, the case is adjourned to 17.08.2015 for the cross-examination of P.W.1. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. Considering the above stated circumstances and the fact that the accused is appearing before the Court, the learned Judicial Magistrate, Ootacamund is directed to dispose of S.T.C.No.1987/2012 within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Further, the petitioner is directed to co-operate for the early disposal of the matter.

4. The Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above direction.
