Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate, Ootacamund, The Nilgiris to expedite the trial in S.T.C.No.1099/2013 and complete the same within a stipulated time as may be fixed by this Court.

O R D E R

The petitioner has come forward with the present petition seeking for a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Ootacamund, The Nilgiris to expedite the trial in S.T.C.No.1099/2013 and complete the same within a stipulated time as may be fixed by this Court.

2. An explanation has been received from the learned Judicial Magistrate, Ootacamund which states that since the accused was not present before the Court on 09.07.2015, a bailable warrant was issued and the case is adjourned to 18.08.2015. Thereafter, the accused surrendered before the Court on 16.07.2015 and so, the warrant was recalled and the case is adjourned to 18.08.2015 for further PW's.

3. Considering the above stated circumstances and the fact that the accused is appearing before the Court, the learned Judicial Magistrate, Ootacamund is directed to dispose of S.T.C.No.1099/2013 within a period of three months from the date https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

of receipt of a copy of this order. Further, the petitioner is directed to co-operate for the early disposal of the matter.

4. The Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above direction.
