ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the third respondent to consider the representation dated 26.03.2023 and give permission to conduct the dance program on 06.04.2023 at about 7.00 PM to 11.00 PM to be held at Temple Theedal situates near Arulmigu Mariamman Kaliamman Thirukoil, Elampillai Village, Salem District during Panguni Thiru Ther Thiruvizha in Arulmigu Mariamman Kaliamman Thirukoil, Elampillai Village, Salem District.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that in order to conduct the cultural programme in the event of Arulmigu 2/5

Mariamman Kaliamman Thirukoil, Elampillai Village, Salem District during Panguni Thiru Ther Thiruvizha on 06.04.2023 between 07.00 P.M and 11.00 P.M, the petitioner has sent a representation dated 26.03.2023 to the respondent. But, the same has not been considered so far. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent submitted that the respondent police has received the representation of the petitioner and the same is pending for consideration.

4. I have considered the submission of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent police.

5. It is brought to the notice of this Court that the Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu, Chennai, had issued a Circular Memorandum in Rc.007301/Genl.I(1)/2019, dated 09.04.2019, along with instructions to the Inspectors of Police throughout Tamil Nadu for consideration of applications seeking permission for conducting cultural programme. Therefore, in view of the detailed circular and guidelines issued by the 3/5

Director General of Police, the respondent police is hereby directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 26.03.2023 and pass suitable orders based on the above said circular.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
