This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 1st respondent herein to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner, his family members and his shop situated at No.2/1, Kambar Salai, Mugappair West, Chennai 37, pursuant to the representation dated 15.03.2023.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. Pending this petition, the request made by the petitioner was rejected. Therefore, nothing survives for further adjudication in this petition.

4. In view of the above, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to challenge the rejection in the manner known to law.
