The petitioner / Accused, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offence punishable under Sections 408 and 420 of IPC in connection with the case in Cr. No.279 of 2024 pending on the file of 2nd respondent police, seeks inter state anticipatory bail.

2. It is submitted by the learned counsel appearing for the intervenor / defacto complainant that no ground has been made for inter-state anticipatory bail and the petitioner may be directed to approach the concerned Court in Karnataka. He would further submit that there are proceedings pending between the parties in the High Court of Karnataka.

3. It is well settled that inter-state anticipatory bail cannot be entertained unless the petitioner states as to why he is unable to approach the jurisdictional Court. The petitioner has not satisfied the said condition.

4. Hence, this Court is not inclined to grant inter-state anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 2/4
