By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner, which is a trust has made an application dated 13.05.2017 seeking issuance of D-licence for the purpose of running the orphanage. Till date, no order has been passed on the said application. Seeking to expedite the above said request, the present Writ Petition has been filed. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. Heard Ms.Sheik Meharunnisa, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.P.V.Selvakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader who accepts notice for the respondents, and perused the materials placed on record.

4. Considering the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner in this writ petition, without going into the merits of the case, the second respondent is directed to consider the request of the petitioner dated 13.5.2017 for issuance of D-licence within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, on merits and in accordance with law.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of.
