ORDER

The writ petition has been filed for the following relief: 'directing the 2nd respondent to dispose of the appeal of the petitioner dated 14.3.2024 within stipulated time.' 2.It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner was appointed as Office Assistant on 11.10.1995 in the respondent Forest Department as Ministerial Service and worked till 06.02.2014. Subsequently, appointed as Forest Guard on 07.02.2014 by way of recruitment by Transfer and working as Forest Guard in the 3rd respondent Division till date.

2.1.While so, he was issued with a charge memo dated 07.07.2023 passed by the third respondent. The petitioner would submit that no proper enquiry has been conducted and a final order has been passed, as a result of which, the petitioner was imposed with a punishment of "Postponement of increment for a period of one year without cumulative effect". Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner has preferred an appeal before the first respondent which is pending till date without any proper response. Therefore, the petitioner has come forward with this writ petition.

3.Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials

available on record.

4.Considering the relief now sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the first respondent to consider the petitioner's appeal, on merits and in accordance with law and to pass appropriate orders, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
