Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned standing counsel for the respondent university. 2.
The petitioner seeks for a direction to the respondent/university for issuance of equivalence certificate in his favour to the effect that the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) Degree obtained by him is equivalent to B.A. Economics. According to the petitioner, after completion of B.B.A. degree, he did M.A. Economics with the respondent university on the ground that he studied Economics and Statistics subjects in B.B.A., Now the petitioner is intending to pursue Ph.d in economics and unless and until a certificate of equivalence is issued to him certifying that the basic decree namely B.B.A., which he pursued is equivalent to B.A. economics, he could not pursue Ph.D., In this context, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 06.02.2014 seeking for issuance of equivalence certificate equating B.B.A. decree with that of B.A.
Economics on the sole ground that he was permitted to study M.A. Economics course based on the B.B.A. degree. Inasmuch as the representation dated 06.02.2014 submitted by the petitioner is pending on the file of the respondent, there will be a direction to https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.
the respondent to consider the representation dated 06.02.2014 of the petitioner for issuance of equivalence certificate and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3.
With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
