Murugan, S/o. Gopal, aged about 35 years, now under the custody of the 4th respondent namely, Central Prison, Vellore, Vellore District and set aside the same and direct the respondents to produce the above said detenu before this Hon'ble Court and set him at liberty.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.] The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention in Ref.D.O.No. 42/2020-C2 dated 05.06.2020 detaining her husband as "Bootlegger", as contemplated under Section 2(b) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor reports that the order of detention passed against the detenu has been revoked by the Government by its order in G.O.Rt.No.3180 Home, Prohibition and Excise (XI) Department, dated 27.07.2020 and he has also produced a copy of the Government Order. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
