PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue Writ, Order, or Direction specifically Writ in the nature of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 5 and 6 to consider petitioner's representation dated 23.03.2022 given to the 6th respondent and to provide necessary Police protection to carry on licensed rough stone and Gravel quarry operation in S.F.Nos.138/2 and 72/2A2 of Thatanur Village, Avinashi Taluk, Tiruppur District.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents 5 and 6 to consider petitioner's representation, dated 23.03.2022 given to the 6th respondent and provide necessary Police protection to carry on licensed rough stone and Gravel quarry operation in S.F.Nos.138/2 and 72/2A2 of Thatanur Village, Avinashi Taluk, Tiruppur District.

2.Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents.

3.The contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that despite the representation of the petitioner, the 6th respondent Police has not acted to provide Police protection to the petitioner to carry on licensed rough stone and Gravel quarry operation. He would also submitted that this Court may direct the Police to give necessary Police protection to the petitioner.

4.Learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner did not appear before the 6th respondent Police for enquiry on his representation. 5.In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to appear before the 6th respondent Police within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Thereafter, the 6th respondent Police shall consider the representation of the petitioner and pass suitable orders, as per law. 6.Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
