Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to forward the petitioner's Pension proposal to the Office of the Accountant General and also to disburse and settle all terminal benefits like DCRG, balance amount due towards GPF, Pension arrears and Commutation amount along with up-to-date interest at 12% p.a. from 01.01.2014 onwards within a time frame. ORDER

The petitioner was working as a Special Tahsildar (Land Acquisition) at Neyveli in Cuddalore District. He reached the age of superannuation on 31.12.2013. He was allowed to retire and no disciplinary proceedings is pending against him.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that so far, the proposals relating to terminal benefits are not forwarded by the respondent to the Office of the Accountant General for authorization.

3. If the petitioner was allowed to retire and no disciplinary proceedings is pending, there is no reason for the respondent in not sending the proposals relating to terminal benefits to the Office of the Accountant General.

4. In these circumstances, a direction is issued to the respondent to send the proposals relating to terminal benefits for authorization to the Office of the Principal Accountant General, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if there is no other legal impediment.
