Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to permit the movement of Advocates from their residence to their respective offices/places during lockdown 19.06.2020 to 30.06.2020 and in future whenever the lockdown is extended or imposed by the Government of Tamil Nadu. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.) This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a direction to the respondents to permit the movement of the Lawyers from their residences to their respective Offices.

2. The learned Government Pleader, on instructions, submitted that the issue sought to be raised no longer survives. Now, there is no bar over the access as lock-down has been lifted and relaxation has also been given to the private offices to function.

3. In the light of the above submissions, we do not find any merit in the writ petition. However, we make it clear that in the event of any lock down enforced in the future and if there is any impediment in running the Lawyers' office, the petitioner can very well approach this court.

4. This writ petition is closed with the above observations. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
