This Contempt Petition is filed to punish the respondents herein for their wilful, wanton and utter disregard to the order passed by this Hon'ble Court in W.P.No.2255 of 2023 dated 31.01.2023.

2. The perusal of the order dated 31.01.2023 indicates that the property of the Proprietor of the Finance Company against whom criminal proceedings was initiated under TANPID Act were sought to be attached and in view of the inaction on the part of the Investigating Officer, the W.P.No.2255 of 2023 has been filed seeking appropriate direction for attachment of the properties listed by the petitioner.

3. The Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondents states that, on 21.11.2023 when the matter was taken up for consideration the 12 properties of the accused persons been identified and proposal for attachment sent to the Government and order is awaited. Today, when the matter is listed, the Learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) furnished Government Order in respect of attachment of 10 properties. Further, submits that orders for attachment of two more properties is awaited and necessary follow up action will be taken up in accordance with law.

4. Recoding the same, the Contempt Petition is closed. Consequently, connected Sub Application is also closed.
