[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J] This petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to dispose of petitioner's representation dated 11.03.2020 seeking release of her husband Paul Pandi alias Nataraj s/o.Guruswamy, aged about 67 years, presently confined at Central Prison, Vellore, as life convict (CT No.23937) and set him at liberty.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the convict prisoner is undergoing imprisonment for the last 33 years.
3. The short point that falls for consideration in this case is whether the convict prisoner Paul Pandi alias Nataraj [CT No.23937] would be entitled for premature release under G.O.Ms.No.64, Home (Pri.IV) Department dated 01.02.2018 as amended by G.O.Ms.No.302, Home (Pri.IV) Department dated 03.05.2018.
4. In this regard, a representation dated 11.03.2020 has been given to the respondents and the same has not been disposed of till date. Therefore, we direct the respondents to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 11.03.2020 within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
