A.No.2455 of 2022 & OP.No.807 of 2012 KRISHNAN RAMASAMY, J., This application has been filed by the applicants/petitioners to extend the mandate of the Sole Arbitrator Mr.R.Sankara Narayanan in Arbitral claim no.2 of 2015 for a further period of 6 months. 2.The learned counsel for the applicants/petitioners has submitted that after receipt of the order of this Court, the learned Arbitrator had commenced the proceedings however, due to Covid -19 Pandamic, the Government has announced Lock Down during the year 2020, the arbitral proceedings had come to an end and thereafter, the proceedings were commenced after the Pandamic restrictions were relaxed. However, the mandate of the Sole Arbitrator in Arbitral claim no.2 of 2015 had already been lapsed during Lock Down period. dn 3.This Court has satisfied with the reasons assigned in the affidavit filed in support of this application and after hearing the learned counsel for the applicants/petitioners, this Court is inclined to extend the mandate of the Sole Arbitrator for a further period of six months. Accordingly, the mandate of the Sole Arbitrator in Arbitral claim no.2 of 2015 is extended for a further period of 6 months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.This application is ordered, accordingly.
