Respondent PRAYER : Contempt Petition filed under Sections 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 70/71 to punish the respondent herein for his wilful disobeience and non-compliance of the Orders of this Court made in Crl.O.P.No.23476 of 2013, dated 16.09.2013 under the provisions of Contempt of Courts Act.

O R D E R

This contempt action has been initiated by the complainant with reference to this Court's Order dated 16.9.2013 passed in Crl.O.P.No.23476 of 2013.

2. Today, Mr.Mahalingam, Inspector, L & O., Kangayam P.S. is present. He is being represented by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor. The learned counsel for the petitioner is present.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor filed status report of the said Mr.Mahalingam. The said Mr.Mahalingam, Inspector submitted that he will ensure personal safety of the petitioner.

4. It is the primary duty of the law enforcing authorities, more particularly, Law and Order police to ensure the personal safety and security of the people. That is the object and view of this Court's Order passed in Crl.O.P.No.23476 of 2013 dated 16.09.2013.

5. Now, the petitioner, namely, Somasundaram apprehends danger to his life at the hand of his opponents namely Kotravel and associates. Already, this Court by its Order dated 16.09.2013 directed the Kangayam police to accord him necessary protection as against his enemies. In the circumstances, as still his life has become insecure, he has filed this Contempt Petition.

6. I have deeply considered the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner and the status report of Mr.Mahalingam, Inspector (L & O.), Kangayam P.S.

7. In the circumstances, it is Ordered as under : (i) Petitioner, namely, Somasundaram will present a fresh petition to the Inspector, L & O, Kangayam P.S., to provide him necessary protection.

(ii) Upon receipt of the same, the said Inspector will take necessary action in accordance with law.

8. With the above directions, this Contempt Petition is closed.
