... Respondents Prayer : The writ petition is filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 4 to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 15.4.2014 and compensate the destruction and loss sugar cane crop field by fire accident.

O R D E R

Heard the learned counsel, appearing on behalf of the petitioner, as well as the learned counsels, appearing on behalf of the respondents.

2.This writ petition has been filed, praying that this Court may be pleased to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 4 to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 15.4.2014 and pass appropriate orders thereon, granting compensation, for the loss of sugar cane crop, by a fire accident.

3.At this stage of the hearing of the writ petition, a counter affidavit has been filed, on behalf of the 7th respondent.

Paragraph No.9 of the counter affidavit reads as follows:- "9. I respectfully submitted that the society acted only nodal agent and the National Agricultural Insurance Company is the authority to decide the payment of insurance to the petitioners.

I further submit that Tiruvannamalai District Central Cooperative Bank in its letter No.989/2014/C1, dated 10.5.2014 informed the Regional Manager, National Agricultural Insurance Company about the claim of the petitioners."

In view of the averments made in Paragraph No.9 of the counter affidavit filed on behalf of the 7th respondent, the petitioner is permitted to make a representation, along with the necessary details and the relevant documents, to the Regional Manager, National Agricultural Insurance Company, Chennai, within a period of four weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of such representation, the Regional Manager, National Agricultural Insurance Company, Chennai, shall consider the same and pass

appropriate orders thereon, as expeditiously as possible. The writ petition is disposed of, with the above directions. No costs. Consequently, connected M.P. is closed.
