No. 115 of 2019 on the file of VI Additional Sessions Court, Chennai, in Crime No. 511/2006 dated 21/12/2006 pending on the file of Respondent Police.

ORDER

This petition has been filed for a direction directing the respondent to further investigate the case in C.C. No. 115/2016 on the file of VI Additional Sessions Court, Chennai.

2. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that pursuant to complaint lodged by the de facto complainant, the second respondent registered a case in Cr. No. 511 of 2006 under Section 307 IPC. After the completion of investigation, the second respondent laid a charge sheet and the same has been taken cognizance by VI Additional Sessions Court, Chennai in https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

C.C. No. 115 of 2016 and so far, the prosecution have examined P.W.1 to P.W.5 on their side and it is awaited for further witnesses.

3. Under these circumstances, further investigation of the case would not serve any purpose. However, if anything to be added by the offenders / accused persons, they can very well invoke provisions under Sections 216 and 319 of Cr.P.C. during trial before the Trial Court.

4. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
