Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records relating to the letter in Na.Ka.No.A4/7788/2016 dated 16.08.2017 on the file of the 3rd respondent, quash the same and direct the respondents to open the liquor shop No.8833 in Plot No.3/PC-7, Mugappair West, Chennai 600 037.

ORDER

The petitioner has filed the present writ petition seeking for a writ of certiorarified mandamus, calling for the records relating to the letter in Na.Ka.No.A4/7788/2016 dated 16.08.2017 on the file of the 3rd respondent, quash the same and direct the respondents

to open the liquor shop No.8833 in Plot No.3/PC-7, Mugappair West, Chennai 600 037.

2. Though larger prayer is sought for in the writ petition, at the time of hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner restricted the relief for a direction to the third respondent to dispose the representation of the petitioner.

3. Considering the submission of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the petitioner is directed to give a representation to the third respondent within two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of such representation, the third respondent is directed to dispose the representation within a period of eight weeks thereafter on merits and in accordance with law.

4. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
