ORDER

Seeking a direction to the 1st respondent not to harass the petitioner and to take immediate action against one Ms.Manjula, Sub Inspector of Police, Chindadiripet Police Station, Chennai, in accordance with law, the petitioner has come up with this petition. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondents and perused the materials placed on record.

3.It is seen that on a complaint lodged by one Krishnaveni, wife of the petitioner herein, petition enquiry is pending. 4.In my considered opinion, no blanket direction as prayed for by the petitioner could be given. If the petitioner is wanted either for enquiry or for interrogation, he can very well be summoned by the respondent police and while doing so, the petitioner shall not be harassed. At the same time, the petitioner should submit himself to the respondent for interrogation and enquiry. It is made clear that this order will not shield if the petitioner is involved in cognizable offence. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
