Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 2 and 3 to reqularize the petitioner's plot situated at S.No.87/2 in Injambakkam Village, Sholinganallur Taluk by processing the petitioner's application dated 27.02.2021 bearing No.CMDA/P/0100762/2017 pursuant to the petitioner's representation dated 20.04.2021 within a time frame fixed by this Court.

O R D E R

The case of the petitioner is that he had built up a house in his share of property, admeasuring to an extent of 2400 Sq.Ft. and submitted an application to the second respondent / CMDA on 27.02.2021 for regularization to get approval for the plot and the said application is pending with the second respondent without passing any orders and therefore, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

2. Heard the submission of Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Government Advocate for the first respondent, Mr.K.V.Sanjeev Kumar, learned Standing Counsel for the second respondent and Mr.M.Ganesan, learned Standing Counsel for the third respondent and they would submit that the application submitted by the petitioner would be considered and orders will be passed at the earliest.

3. Considering the limit scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner and without expressing any opinion on merits, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the application for regularization [if the application is in prescribed format] submitted by the petitioner dated 27.02.2021 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. This Writ Petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
