ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the 1 and 2 respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.01.2026 and consequently directing the 2nd respondent to release and disburse a sum of Rs.6,08,152.90 lying in savings bank account No.11379331134 belonging to the petitioner's deceased husband.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner's husband maintained a Saving Bank Account with the 2nd respondent Bank and passed away on 19.11.2020. It is further submitted that the petitioner was nominated as the nominee in the said account. However, the amount has not been transferred in favour of the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 08.01.2026. Till date, no orders have been passed on the said representation. Aggrieved by the same, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

3. Mr. R. Sreedhar, learned counsel takes notice on behalf of the respondents and submits that the 2nd respondent would consider the representation of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Court directs the second respondent namely, the Branch Manager, State Bank of India, Yercaud Branch, to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.01.2026 and pass appropriate orders, within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
