ORDER
The petitioner/accused in Crime 157 of 2021 for offence under Sections 279 and 337 IPC had filed this quash petition. 2.The contention of the petitioner is that the petitioner on 15.03.2021 drove tractor attached to a tipper in a rash and negligent manner without sounding the horn and trailer of the tractor collided with a two wheeler which was driven by one Palanivel. Owing to the said collision, Palanivel was thrown off the vehicle and sustained simple injuries. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that FIR was registered in the year 2021 and so far, no action had been taken. Further, taking the complaint as a whole, it is seen that it is only a road accident. Recently, the petitioner verified the FIR status and found that a charge sheet had been filed. Hence, the present quash petition has been filed. 4.
The learned Additional Public Prosecutor produced the lower court proceedings dated 23.08.2022, in which, it is seen that the petitioner was represented by Mr.S.Rajapandian and the petitioner had pleaded guilty and paid the fine of Rs.500 for offence under Section 279 IPC and Rs.700/- for offence under Section 338 IPC, in total paid the fine amount of Rs.1200/- and the same was recorded on 23.08.2022.
5.In view of the above, nothing survives for further adjudication. Accordingly, the criminal original petition is dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
