ORDER

The learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Cuddalore, vide D.No.697 of 2026 dated 21.01.2026 submitted that Spl.C.C.No.3 of 2021 was transferred to the file of Principal District and Sessions Court, Cuddalore and the same is renumbered as Spl.C.C.No.81 of 2025.

2.Earlier, Crl.O.P.No.8844 of 2025 was filed before this Court seeking a direction to the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate to complete the trial within a period of six (6) months and Crl.O.P.No.8844 of 2025 was disposed of on 07.04.2025. The order was received by the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate on 10.07.2025.

3.The Principal District and Sessions Judge / Special Judge Cuddalore report is that submitted that subsequent to the transfer of the case, now the trial is proceeding and summons issued LW1 to LW5. LW1 was present and examined in Chief and cross examined in full. Ex.P1 and Ex.P2 marked on 07.10.2025, and the case was thereafter posted to 24.10.2025. On that day, two new counsels filed change of vakalat for the accused A1 and A2. Again the case was posted to 11.11.2025, and thereafter on 21.01.2026, LW2, LW3 and LW5 present and examined as PW2 to PW4 and marked Ex.P3 to Ex.P18 and MO1 and MO2 produced. It is seen the counsel for the accused had not cross examined the witnesses then and there and the case is now posted for cross examination on 29.01.2026.

4.Since the direction of this Court vide order dated 07.04.2025 to complete the trial within a period of six months expires soon, the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge requisition for extension of further period

of six months can be considered.

5.In view of the above, a further period of six (6) months period is granted.
