ORDER
The writ petition has been filed in the nature of a Mandamus seeking a direction to disburse the terminal benefits including the balance gratuity amount of Rs.5,28,905/- together with interest and arrears of pension from the date of retirement till the date of disbursement.
2. The petitioner had been appointed as Assistant under the respondent and was working at Vadapalani Andavar Thirukovil. He retired from service on attaining the age of superannuation on 28.02.2021. It is stated that the terminal benefits had been paid to the petitioner to the tune of Rs.8,16,467/-. The petitioner claims that the amount which should have been paid to him should be Rs.13,45,372/- but he had received Rs.8,16,467/- without any remarks.
3. The petitioner should have raised a protest at that particular calculation or at least received that amount without prejudice to raising further objection. Having received the said amount, a Mandamus would not again lie, unless the petitioner seeks interference of that calculation presented by the respondents.
4. The Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs. However, the petitioner
