ORDER
The order impugned in this writ petition is a memo issued by the respondents dated 13th May 2017 stating that the writ petitioner has caused certain inconveniences to the neighbours in the police quarters.
2. Pursuant to the inputs given by the Intelligence Wing of the Police Department that certain anti-social activities are happening inside the police quarters, the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Coonoor Circle initiated action and passed this impugned order directing the writ petitioner to vacate the police quarters. The order was passed, pursuant to the Intelligence inputs received from the higher officials. The Government accommodation cannot be claimed as a matter of right by the employees. More so, discipline in the police force is paramount and there cannot be any compromise in maintaining high discipline, more specifically, in uniformed services.
3. When the respondents had been provided with certain Intelligence inputs with regard to the happening of anti-social activities in the police quarters, certainly, it causes a concern both to the neighbours residing in the police quarters as well as the public in general.
4. Such being the case, it is necessary to vacate such doubtful person from the police quarters.
5. Therefore, in view of this, this Court does not find any infirmity in the order passed by the respondents directing the writ petitioner to vacate the police quarters. The writ petitioner can never claim the Government accommodation as a matter of right and it is always subject to the availability and the said allotment is to be made in accordance with law and other discipline.
6. In view of this, this Court is not inclined to consider the representation. Accordingly, this writ petition stands dismissed. However, there is no order as to costs.
