ORDER
The District Revenue Officer, Krishnagiri is suo motu added as the 5 th respondent in this writ petition.
2.This writ petition has been filed for issue of writ of mandamus directing the 3 rd respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 25.06.2024, wherein, the petitioner is seeking for the correction of the entry that was made in the revenue records during the UDR Scheme. 3.Heard Mr.V.A.Dhana Aravindha Balaji, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.R.P.Muruganraja, learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3 and 5.
3/5 4.In the considered view of this Court, the 3 rd respondent does not have the power or jurisdiction to deal with the representation and correct the wrong entries that took place during the UDR Scheme. The competent authority is only the District Revenue Officer, Krishnagiri. In view of the same, it is left open to the petitioner to make a fresh representation before the District Revenue Officer, Krishnagiri along with all the relevant documents. On receipt of the same, the District Revenue Officer, Krishnagiri shall deal with the representation on its own merits and in accordance with law and pass final orders, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of representation from the petitioner. 5.This writ petition is disposed of in the above terms.
