Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of he Constitution of India, seeking to Writ of Mandamus to direct the first and second respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner and to pass appropriate orders for her appointment as Graduate Assistant (English) pursuant to the petitioner's success in Teachers Eligibility Test 2013 (Roll No.13TE32211243) and certificate verification (C.V.No.E2358).

ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed seeking for direction to the first and second respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 16.07.2014 and to pass appropriate orders for her appointment as Graduate Assistant (English) pursuant to the petitioner's success in Teachers Eligibility Test 2013 (Roll No.13TE32211243) and certificate verification (C.V.No.E2358).

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that petitioner appeared for the Tamil Nadu Teachers Eligibility Test (TNTET), 2013 and secured 95 marks out of 150 marks, however she was not selected. The grievance of the petitioner is that persons who secured less than 65 marks were given appointment. Therefore, the petitioner has made a representation dated 16.07.2014.

3. Learned counsel for the second respondent submitted that the petitioner has applied for TET 2013, in which the petitioner has secured 95 marks. Subsequently, she was called for certificate verification on 22.01.2014, wherein, as per G.O.Ms.71 SE(TRB) Department dated 2/4

30.05.2014 she was awarded 63.04% marks, thereby she could not reach the cut off mark for selection and hence she was not selected.

4. Keeping this aspect aside, since the petitioner is not aware of the terms of condition mentioned by the second respondent in the counter affidavit, the second respondent should have intimated the same, by way of reply to the representation made by the petitioner dated 16.07.2014.

5. Heard both sides and perused the materials placed on records.

6. In view of the submissions made by the parties concerned keeping the main issue raised by the petitioner aside, since the petitioner seeking Mandamus, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the respondent to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 16.07.2014 on merits as quickly as possible, preferably not later than four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. No costs.
