This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to release the sale deed presented by the petitioner for registration. 2.According to the petitioner, even though the sale deed was presented for registration on 29.08.2025 before the 3rd respondent by paying the required stamp duty and registration fees, the 3rd respondent is yet to release the original sale deed to the petitioner. The petitioner had given representations on 18.10.2025 and 16.02.2026 to the 3rd respondent for the aforesaid purposes. Since the same has not been considered, the petitioner has filed this Writ Petition.
3.Mr.P.Harish, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. On the written instructions received by him from the respondents, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that since there is discrepancy in the guideline value in the website of the registration department, he would submit that the same will be rectified within a period of eight weeks and thereafter, the document (sale deed) will be released to the petitioner. Learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents also confirms that the guideline value disclosed in the sale deed
by the petitioner i.e., Rs.909/- per Sq.Ft is correct and the same is not Rs.1,790/-, as disclosed in the website of the registration department. 4.The undertaking given by the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents is recorded. Accordingly, the respondents, after rectification of the error in the website of the registration department, shall release the original sale deed to the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5.With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
