O R D E R

These petitions have been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioners' application dated 04.02.2022 made for subdivision of the subject property and for issuance of patta in respect of the same.

2. Mr. P. Sathish, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents.

3. It is the case of the petitioners that the land measuring an extent of 1064 S1.Ft, comprised in T.S.No.36/5 situated at plot No.109, Puliyur Village, Egmore Nungambakkam Taluk was purchased by the petitioners' father vide registered sale deed. Initially the patta was granted in respect of the said property in favour of the petitioners' vendors. Subsequently, the petitioner in W.P.No.10191 of 2022 had applied for issuance of joint patta in the name of the petitioner before the 1st respondent vide Application No.2022/0154/02/000904, whereas the petitioner in W.P.No.10194 of 2022 had applied for transfer of patta in the name of the petitioner before the 1st respondent vide Application No.2022/0154/02/000906. However, till date, both the applications have not been considered. Hence, the present petitions are filed seeking the aforesaid reliefs.

4. Though very many grounds have been raised, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that it would suffice, if this Court, issues a direction to the 1st respondent herein to consider the applications made by the petitioners and dispose of the same within the time stipulated by this Court.

5. Learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents has no objection to the said order being passed.

6. In view of the aforesaid submissions, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the 1st respondent to consider the applications made by the petitioners and dispose of the same in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. Accordingly, these Writ Petitions are disposed of with the aforesaid direction. No Costs.
