The complaint alleging misappropriation and breach of trust given on 25.11.2023 and it is under investigation. While so, the present petition 1/4
is filed seeking direction to expedite the investigation and file a final report within a stipulated time.
2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Pondy) appearing for the respondent police submits that the complaint dated 25.11.2023 been registered in Cr.No.142 of 2023 and taken up for investigation. The summon substances of the complaint indicates that the Manager of the complainant had misappropriated the funds to the tune of Rs.14,50,000/-. The said allegations has to be verified by examining the accounts books, meter readings and other aspects. Therefore, sufficient time is required, since the alleged misappropriation runs for a period of more than one year.
3. In view of the above submissions, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent police to conduct the investigation as expeditiously as possible.
