..Respondent Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation made by the petitioner on 02.01.2017 to the respondent for cancelling the licence issued by the respondent on 07.08.2014 in R.C.No.4/144/2014 for running the Bar attached to the TASMAC Shop No.8776 situating at No.254, N.M.Road, Avadi, Chennai-600 054, collecting empty bottles and to sell eatables in the Bar and consequently direct the respondent to refund the security deposit of Rs.2,71,500/- paid by the petitioner. Mr.B.Nedunchezhiyan, learned standing counsel takes notice for the respondent. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner seeks for a mandamus, directing the respondent to consider his representation dated 02.01.2017, wherein and whereby, he sought for refund of the security deposit of Rs.2,71,500/-, on the reason that he could not run the Bar, since there was a dispute between the owner and the erstwhile tenant of the premises.

3. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 02.01.2017. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of, by directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.01.2017 and pass orders on the same, on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
