Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of The Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to issue suitable directions to the respondents two and three to recruit the candidates for the post of driver based on the notification issued by the second respondent in Notification No.01/CBE/2014 as published in Daily Thanthi News Paper dated 02.11.2014.

This Writ Petition is filed seeking for Mandamus directing the second and third respondents to recruit the candidates for the post of Driver based on the notification issued by the second respondent vide Notification No.01/CBE/2014 dated 02.11.2014.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that petitioner applied for the post of Driver with all necessary documents. After receipt of the application from the petitioner, the third respondent sent call letter dated 2/6

28.11.2014 vide Number 6021/B2/Pa/P1/TNTC/C/Erode Zone/2014, instructing the petitioner to appear for interview on 01.12.2014. Further in the call letter, it was mentioned that the date for the driving test would be informed on the interview date but no such test was conducted and thereby, the petitioner has submitted representation to the first respondent on 02.01.2015 but the same was not considered, therefore the petitioner has sought for suitable directions.

3. Learned counsel for the respondent submitted that the date of driving test was intimated to the petitioner and accordingly, the petition.No3 participated in the said test and failed in the driving test, thereby he was not considered for the post.

4. Keeping this aspect aside, since representation has already been submitted by the petitioner, the respondent is expected to consider the same and dispose of it by giving suitable reason. At this stage, the learned counsel for the respondent has requested for short time, so that the representation of the petitioner will be disposed of.

On considering the submission of the both sides, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the respondents to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 02.01.2015 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
