Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus, to call for the records relating to the impugned order C3/D.O.No.07/2024 dated 17-02-2024 on the file of the 2nd respondent herein and set aside the same as illegal and direct the respondents to produce the detenue namely Manickam son of Sundaresan, aged about 34 years, now confined at Central Prison, Salem, before this Hon'ble Court set him at liberty.

ORDER

When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner, as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, by producing a copy of the Government Order in G.O.Rt.No.1774, Home, Prohibition and Excise (IX) Department, dated 25.03.2024, submitted that the detention order has already been revoked.

2. Recording the said submission, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands dismissed as infructuous.
