ORDER

The petitioner is the wife. She married the respondent on 06.02.2021. Due to disputes and differences, they separated. The husband initiated HMOP No.162 of 2023 seeking a decree for restitution of conjugal rights before the Sub Court at Gudiyattam. The wife being a resident of Arcot, seeks for withdrawal of HMOP No.162 of 2023 from the file of the Subordinate Court, Gudiyattam and to transfer the same to the file of the Subordinate Court at Ranipet.

KST be beneficial to both parties. He places this submission since the Family Court at Vellore has the facilities of counselling and mediation. This plea is acceptable to Mr.Saranraj.

3. Furthermore, the husband is a resident of Gudiyattam and the wife is a resident of Arcot. Vellore is equidistant from both the places. Considering the plea of Mr.E.Kannadasan, and its ready acceptance by Mr.Saranraj, I am inclined to transfer the proceedings in HMOP No.162/2023 on the file of the learned Subordinate Judge, Gudiyattam to the file of Family Court at Vellore.

4. The learned Judge, Family Court, Vellore shall enquire with the parties whether they are willing to settle the matter by mediation. In case they are willing, he shall refer them to the Mediation Centre attached to that Court.
