ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to issue a fresh patta in the name of the petitioner for the property morefully Page No.1 of 6
disclosed in the affidavit filed in support of this writ petition based on the petitioner's representation, dated 25.12.2025, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
2. Mr.D.Ravichander, learned Special Government Pleader, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.
3. According to the petitioner, on 30.07.1974, patta No.237 was issued in the name of the petitioner. But, all of a sudden, without any notice to the petitioner, the classification of the property, which is the subject matter of patta No.237 was changed to "Podugal" land, which means "uncultivable" land. Therefore, the petitioner had given a representation on 25.12.2025 to the respondents requesting them to change the classification and re-issue patta in the name of the petitioner for the said land. According to the petitioner, Tahsildar of Anchetty Taluk has also filed a report on 18.11.2023 supporting the petitioner's request. According to the petitioner, till date, despite the recommendation made by the said Tahsildar, no final order has been passed on the petitioner's representation dated 25.12.2025.

4. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if the petitioner's representations as stated supra is considered on merits and in accordance with law in the light of the recommendation made by the Tahsildar of Anchetty Taluk, dated 18.11.2023, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
5. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation.
6. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the 2nd respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's representation, dated 25.12.2025 seeking removal of the new classification of "Podugal" land in the revenue records and issuance of fresh patta in the name of the petitioner for the property morefully disclosed in the affidavit filed in support of this writ petition, after giving due consideration to the proceedings of the Tahsildar of Anchetty Taluk, dated 18.11.2023 as well as the supporting documents produced by the petitioner and after hearing the objections of all the necessary parties, Page No.3 of 6
within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
