Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of mandamus directing the 1st respondent to consider representation dated 12.03.2024 and to direct the respondents to allot necessary space in the residential building to set up the bunk shops. For Petitioner :

In this writ petition nineteen petitioners seek mandamus directing the first respondent, who is the Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board / R1 to allot necessary space in the residential building to set up bunk shops. Ms.K.Indhumathy Venkatesh, learned counsel, accepts notice for R1.

The Secretary, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Board is arrayed as R2. However, in the course of the hearing, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would accede to the fact that R2 has no role to play in these proceedings and an endorsement has been made by the petitioner not pressing the writ petition as against R2.
4.Ms.Indhumathy Venkatesh, learned counsel, who has accepted notice for R1, confirms receipt of the representation and would convey no objection to mandamus being issued as sought for. 2/4

Hence mandamus is issued to R1 to hear the petitioner and dispose representation dated 12.03.2024 in accordance with law and all applicable rules and regulations within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
