O R D E R

(The case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 16.06.2020 for the offence punishable under Sections 4 (1)(aaa) R/w 4(1-A) of Tamil Nadu Prohibition (Transport) Act in Crime No.519 of 2020, seeks bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused transported from Puducherry to Tamil Nadu 1000 litres of illicit arrack in Hyundai Acent Car. The same was seized by the respondent police.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays to grant bail to the petitioner.

4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioner along with other accused illegally transported from Puducherry to Tamilnadu 1000 litres of ID arrack in Hyundai Acent Car. He would further submit that the petitioner is having three previous cases of similar naturem which have been registered very recently and he is a habitual offender. 5.Considering the fact that the petitioner is having three previous cases, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner for the present.
