Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's application dated 21.02.2024 in order to measure her land to an extent of 84 cents, comprised in Survey Nos.23/4C, 23/4A1 and 23/3, situated at Veeranam Village, Salem Taluk, Salem District by furnishing the Survey Report thereby fixing boundaries within a stipulated time fixed by this Court. ORDER

With the consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. This writ petition is filed to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's application dated 21.02.2024 in order to measure her land to an extent of 84 cents, comprised in Survey Nos.23/4C, 23/4A1 and 23/3, situated at Veeranam Village, Salem Taluk, Salem District by furnishing the Survey Report thereby fixing boundaries within a stipulated time fixed by this Court.

3. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

The case of the petitioner is that she had purchased the subject property by way of sale deed dated 26.05.2003 and she is in possession and enjoyment of the property ever since the date of purchase. The grievance of the petitioner is that she has given an application to the respondents to measure the land by fixing boundaries and furnish the survey report to the 2/4

petitioner. However, the respondents have not taken any action to survey his land. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

5. Considering the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the respondents to dispose of the application of the petitioner dated 21.02.2024 to survey the land of the petitioner and fix its boundary stones after giving notice to the neighbouring land owners and any other interested persons and furnish survey report to the petitioner within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
