(The case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to consider the appeal preferred by the petitioner against the order of termination dated 05.02.2007, passed by the 2nd respondent in the light of the order of acquittal dated 10.06.2014 passed in C.C.No.10 of 2008 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Court, No.4, Vellore and by considering the petitioner's representation dated 11.08.2014 and 10.10.2014 within the time that may be fixed by this Court.

2.The petitioner while he was serving as a conductor in the 1st respondent Corporation, he was issued with a charge memo and punished with an order of termination on 05.02.2007, subsequently, he was acquitted in the criminal case. In the light of the above, he made an appeal to the 1st respondent Corporation to reinstate the petitioner in service and the same is pending from the year 2014 onwards. Since the matter is pending for a long time, he has approached this Court for an early disposal of the same.
3.It is noted from the petition that the petitioner had made two representations dated 11.08.2014 and 10.10.2014 which are pending for the past seven years without disposal. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, and also considering the long pendency of the appeal, the 1st respondent Corporation is hereby directed to dispose of the appeal made by the petitioner in accordance with law within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.This Writ Petition stands allowed accordingly.
