O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.01.2023 and renew/reeissue the passport of the petitioner within the time frame fixed by this Court.

2. Mr.S.Diwakar, learned Central Government Senior Panel Counsel takes notice for the respondent.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that he was in possession of the passport bearing No.E2005504 which was issued on 14.05.2002. Thereafter the passport was periodically renewed and the last of the application submitted for periodical was on 27.09.2021 bearing Application No.MA3073603004121. Since, the application was kept pending, the petitioner made a representation on 30.01.2023 seeking to process his application for renewal of passport. Hence, this Writ Petition.

4. Though very many grounds have been raised, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that it would suffice if this Court issues a direction to Page No:2/4

the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.01.2023 and pass orders on the same.

5. Learned Central Government Standing Counsel submits that the petitioner's representation dated 30.01.2021 will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed.

6. In view of the limited relief sought for by the petitioner, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.01.2023 seeking renewal of passports and pass appropriate orders on merits within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
