ORDER

This writ petition has been filed in the nature of mandamus seeking a direction against the respondent to pay interest towards the belated payment of terminal benefits to each of the petitioners.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the respondent.

3. The respondent may also examine the service registers of the petitioners and examine the date on which they had retired from service and the date on which the terminal benefits had actually been disbursed and if it is with delay, pay interest at 6% per annum from the date of retirement till the date of actual disbursement. The said exercise must be completed within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. The Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to cost.
