Crime No.14 of 2020 ...Respondents PRAYER: Criminal Original petition has been filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, prayed to transfer the investigation in Crime No.14 of 2020 from the present officers of the 3rd respondent to some other independent investigation officer with the direction and supervision of the respondents 1 and 2 for conducting independent and impartial investigation in Crime No.14 of 2020 on the file of the AWPS, Pulianthope Police Station. ORDER

The Criminal Original Petition has been filed for a direction to transfer the investigation in Crime No.14 of 2020 pending on the file of the third respondent to some other competent Investigation Agency.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents submitted that on a complaint lodged by the petitioner, the third respondent registered the F.I.R in Crime No.14 of 2020 for the offences punishable under sections 417, 406, 323 294(b), 506(2) and 109 of IPC as against three accused persons. He further submitted that the third respondent has completed the investigation and about to file a final report. At this juncture, the transfer of investigation would affect the entire investigation.

3. Considering the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), the third respondent is directed to complete the investigation and file a final report within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The second respondent is directed to monitor the investigation done by the third respondent and also ensure that the third respondent shall comply with the order passed by this Court.

4. With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
