This writ petition is filed seeking a mandamus to direct the respondents to rectify and restore the rank assigned by the TNPSC basis on the appointment pursuant to 1993-95 selection for the post of Assistant Engineer and extend all consequential benefits. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned counsel for the respondents.

Counter affidavit has been filed on behalf of the first and the second respondents and the same is taken into consideration. 4.

It is submitted by the learned counsel representing the respondents that the rank assigned by the seniority has already been restored and rectification is not possible.

Since the purpose of filing this writ petition is already half done and the rectification of seniority stated to be not possible, this writ petition is disposed of recording that restoration of the rank as assigned by TNPSC pursuant to the year 1993-95 selection is already been done. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. Connected W.M.P is closed. Costs made easy.
